Ethics forms a major part of the society and should be followed in letter and spirit. Hence in the computer society also ethics is as much important. There are usually policies in many organizations that provide guidelines for ethics. Usually ethics is the behavior of the person in relation with the subject. There are many points that count to the ethical behavior of the person. The first among the ethicality is to have an objective.

The objective of the person is very important in any organizational behavior. Objectivity plays an important part in ethical observations. There must be a clear set of well defined objects that need be considered while dealing with the computers. The accuracy is important part as well. The objective must be so defined to achieve the accuracy. Even completeness can be considered as role playing point with computer ethics. There should be always established and validated principles and procedures that should be followed.

For any computer literate personality the computer ethics is an important part that cannot be neglected. Consider the ethics in computer forensics – a computer forensics professional should maintain the secrecy and privacy of the clientele. Any action or activity that leads to disclosure privacy of the client should be avoided. An opinion of facts gives a vital role for a computer forensics expert. The importance lies with the professional to maintain strictly the standards of ethicality that are collected and analyzed so that they meet the quality aspects.

The values such as Integrity, accuracy and authenticity should be exercised in an ethical environment. The evidence that is produced before the court should be fairly examined and analyzed. There should be any carelessness and ignorance regarding the handling of evidence. The case evidence should be examined in detail based upon validated principles.

There are standard ethical procedures that need be followed. The first among them is incident identification – identifying the incident and the analysis of the case. The next step is the preparation of tools, monitoring, techniques, management support and authorization etc. There should be a clear and well defined approach strategy to proceed with the case in order to minimize the impact over the victim computer system.

The importance of preservation of evidence is also an important task. Any tampering and manhandling of the evidence need be prevented. Collection of the evidence and even duplicating the digital evidence is also an important part of ethical conduct. The crime scene investigation plays an important role in collection of the evidence. The collection of evidence and the subsequent analysis plays a major part in computer forensics.

The evidence that is collected should be incorporated with the date, time and the place where it was found. The next step is the analysis of evidence. The analysis of evidence should be carried out in such a way so as to eliminate the evidence that cannot be produced in the court of law. Next step in an ethical behavior include the presentation of the evidence in the court of law. Lastly the return of evidence to the owner also forms a part in ethical behavior.
